Frank attended Central HighSchool and started his leadership abilities as Freshman Class President, then Sophomore Class President, and Junior Class President. As a senior he was active in Student Council, a member of National Honor Society, the Central Wildcat and Central Times staff, member of Key Club and Kiwanis service club for four years as well as a "C" letterman for four years. Frank lettered in football under Sollie Raso and was a member of the Central baseball team in 1950--the first state baseball championship for the state of Colorado.
After high school Frank attended Pueblo Junior College and transferred to Colorado State College of Education where he earned a B.A. degree and a life-time teaching certificate. He began his teaching career in Pueblo District 60 at Keating Jr. High School. After one year of teaching he was drafted and served two years in the U.S. Army. Following his stint in the army he returned to teaching the following three years in District 60. In 1962 Frank returned to college and received a Master of Education Degree in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Missouri. He then returned to Pueblo District 60 and was a counselor at Central High School for three years. In 1966 he entered the field of administration as Assistant Principal at Pitts Junior High School. He remained in administration as principal for thirty-two years serving at Pitts, Heaton Middle School and Roncalli Middle School, retiring in 1995.
For the past twenty years Frank has implemented the National Academic League in our school district. This is an academic competition program at the middle school level and is housed at Central High School. He has served on the N.A.L. national advisory board for several years. Frank has also volunteered his time to the community by serving on the Supervisory Committee for the SunWest Credit Union and is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the credit union.
